Music from the mountains
A project that I produced in partnership with The British Library Sound Archives, The Asian Music Circuit and Kathmandu University. Together with a camerman, researcher and translator I travelled to the remote mountain region of Karnali in Nepal, close to the tibetan border, to record and preserve the local folk music. The sound and video files are now being edited and will be archived as part of the British Library Sound Archives as well as at the Kathmandu University in Nepal.
